We were so lucky to have another visitor this week to talk to us about the Wahine disaster, this time it was Olivia's poppa Rob that came in. Rob was able to share his recount of the day as well as what the community did in response to the disaster. He brought in a book full of pictures which we were all very intrigued to look at.

Guest Speaker
Today we were lucky to have Luca's grandad come and visit our syndicate today. He shared his experience of the sinking of the wahine, and what he went through knowing his mother was on board the wahine. Our students had many questions to ask at the end!
Wahine Walk
Last week our syndicate went for a walk to the Wahine memorial to launch us into our hands of time inquiry. The students had a go at sketching the foremast and did a great job!
